US-Bangla Airlines is a Bangladeshi carrier that launched operations on 17-Jul-2014. Initially, the carrier planned to consolidate its position in the domestic market before launching international services to the United States, United Kingdom, Europe, the Middle East and Asia. US-Bangla Airlines is a subsidiary of the US-Bangla Group, a United States-Bangladeshi JV company. US-Bangla Airlines operates Bombardier Dash 8-Q400 equipment. The carrier launched its first international service, on Dhaka-Kathmandu sector, on 15-May-2016.
Baggage Allowance
US-Bangla Airlines offers competitive baggage allowances across Asia and the Middle East, varying by route and cabin class. Passengers are advised to verify specific regulations on their tickets. The airline accommodates adults, children, and infants, providing distinct checked and carry-on baggage options to meet diverse travel needs.
For domestic flights, adults and children may check 20 kg with dimensions of 40×60×100 cm and carry up to 7 kg. Infants are allowed 10 kg checked baggage without carry-on. Internationally, economy passengers can check 20 kg and business class 30 kg per piece, each up to 30 kg, plus a 7 kg carry-on. Infants have 10 kg checked baggage.
Sky Star Miles
US-Bangla Airlines’ Sky Star program transforms travel with exclusive benefits and discounts. Members earn Sky Star Miles on every flight and through global partners, which can be redeemed for free flights, upgrades, and rewards. Miles are valid for three years, supporting both domestic and international travel needs.
The program features four membership tiers: Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Titanium, based on accumulated miles or flight counts. Higher tiers offer enhanced privileges such as bonus miles, priority baggage handling, and dedicated check-in counters. Members retain their tier status for 24 months, enjoying increased benefits as they advance.
Onboard Support
US-Bangla Airlines provides comprehensive Meet and Assist Services, including VIP, CIP, and special services, which must be requested during booking and begin upon check-in. The airline accommodates passengers with disabilities by offering wheelchair services at booking or check-in and supports unaccompanied minors aged five to fifteen by requiring prior notification at booking and before the flight.
For expectant mothers, a “Fit for Flight” medical certificate is mandatory between 26 and 32 weeks to ensure safety. US-Bangla Airlines allows pet animals in cargo, provided they are properly caged, clean, and accompanied by a vaccination certificate. Additional assistance requests can be made through the hotline, sales outlets, or at the airport check-in counter.
Refund & Cancellation
US-Bangla Airlines provides refunds for cancellations and no-shows in accordance with fare conditions, limited to the ticket holder or the purchaser. Claims made after the ticket’s validity period are not accepted. Passengers are eligible for full refunds on unused sectors if flights are delayed or arrive early by over 30 minutes domestically or one hour internationally or are canceled due to operational reasons.
Refund procedures depend on the purchase method. Tickets bought through the official website, mobile app, or sales offices can be canceled via US-Bangla offices, email, or phone, with refunds credited to the original payment method within 10–15 working days. Cash purchases receive immediate refunds, while tickets from authorized travel agencies must be refunded through the agency, subject to applicable cancellation charges.
